The National Theatre of Ghana is set to pay tribute to one of the country's most iconic musicians, Lord Bob Cole, also known as Professor Bob Cole. Born Michael Kofi Amissah on June 13th, 1924, in Aboso, Tarkwa, Ghana, Cole's musical career spanned over several decades. Inspired by the early jazz era, he adopted the stage name Bob Cole and went on to become a highly influential figure in the Ghanaian music scene.

Cole's music was a blend of traditional Ghanaian rhythms and melodies with Western jazz and pop elements. He formed the Bob Cole Black Star Soundz band, which toured extensively throughout Africa and Europe. Cole's music showcased the diversity and richness of Ghanaian culture, earning him a large following both at home and abroad.

The National Theatre's tribute to Lord Bob Cole will feature live performances of his music, interviews with his family and friends, and a retrospective of his life and career. The event is expected to draw a large crowd of music lovers and fans of Cole's music.
